MetLife's current native app was performing poorly in the iOS App Store, sitting at a 2.4 star rating. Our goal was to redesign the experience from the ground up while following the strict branding requirements.
It was important to work closely with the stakeholders. The client had already performed extensive research on their pain points, this helped us jump into creating the solution. The previous mobile app did not include all of the functionality of the web app, so it was important to incorporate the missing functionality.
MetLife was committed to making sure they were keeping ADA compliance in mind. It was important for us to make sure we were solving these issues, but also making sure to go beyond the minimum to ensure that app would be ready for more strict guidelines in the future.
