Project Overview

Quest Diagnostics had an aging web application without a native mobile solution. The goal was to create a native mobile app that had all of the web functionality, but with a more modern feel.

My Contributions

I joined the Quest Diagnostics design team as a contractor. I was tasked with taking over the designs for the mobile app, and help create their new Design system. For this project I created high fidelity mocks, prototype, and design specs.

Quest Diagnostics had begun work on the native app but the effort was halted during the COVID lockdowns. Their business need shifted to assist with the testing and processing effort through 2020. I joined the team once the project was ready to be picked up by the product team again.

For this project I worked closely with the product team and stakeholders to update the initial designs, and add new features that existed in the web app experience. For the designs we focused on an inclusive design that would be used for both iOS and Android platforms. This involved accounting for the differences in OS that could cause confusion to the users.
